Notes

The Shy Gasman was the second of two world premieres by the writer Leonard Barras at the Library Theatre following A Little Stiff Built Chap in 1969.
The Shy Gasman consists of three short plays linked by the 'shy gasman' Lindsay as he tells of his experiences reading meters. Each play being one of his experiences: These Inquitous Corn Laws, Gracious Days and The Fluff Picker.
For an unknown reason - presumably popularity - The Shy Gasman was extended for a week. An advert in Archive for the week 13 - 19 August shows The Shy Gasman replacing the initially advertised The American Dream.
